A very magical phenomenon: not only can intelligence be reconstructed, but our brains can also be reconstructed.
You can understand it as: language = the UI (user interface) of the brain.
Changing the UI can actually influence the core to some extent, so changing the UI is essentially changing behavior and emotions.
Adams' theoretical system is: changing the "story framework" of the same thing can make you more proactive and more motivated.
Seeing this part of the book, I just remembered that last week I heard Li Xiaolai and Tuo Buhua mention in an interview: self-talk / identity statement:
Using "self-statement scripts" to hijack the subconscious, allowing behavior to automatically align, this process is equivalent to changing "I am pushed by reality" to "I am orchestrating reality."
What’s particularly interesting is that Li Xiaolai directly formalized it: I’m a person who… (我是一个……的人)
What’s the use of knowing this?
Directly using Xiaolai's method, I created 10 self-dialogue scripts (identity + because + emotional label) for reference, and everyone can write their own based on their situation:
1️⃣ I never chase emotional trades because that’s being taxed by volatility, and I hate being taxed.
2️⃣ I am a person who lives first and makes money later because living allows for compounding, and I like compounding.
3️⃣ I only make trades I understand because not understanding is gambling, and I don’t want to be a gambler.
4️⃣ I only check the market at fixed times every day because attention is an asset, and I hate being exploited by platforms.
5️⃣ Writing is my work system because once I finish writing, I become stronger, and I like the feeling of becoming stronger.
6️⃣ I do the most important thing first every day because it determines the quality of the day, and I don’t want chaos.
