Boop.Fun leading the way with a new launchpad on Solana.
I want to share a bit the plans for dev onboarding on Solana:
Discovery:
Figuring stuff in Solana is still to hard. The tech and libraries exist but there's so much to figure out. We want to make that easy for you. The main tool here will be the new template marketplace launching very soon.
1. Improve massively the supply of templates and starter-kits
2. Curate 3 canonical generalist starters: Web, Mobile, Backend. These will serve as a recommendation set from us as to what we think is the up to date stack.
3. More write ups on the usecases powering the templates. Showing why stuff is cool and people who built it.
Simpler cognitive load when first starting:
From vibe coder, junior or staff eng, everybody must be able to find what they want and not be presented with endless questions. Personalization without overloading your brain. We must let people find a good default standard
1. Align `create-solana-dapp` to simpler yes/no flow to avoid speed up and simplify the initial choices. This will allign with the canonical generalist starters while still offering the flexibility.
2. Pre install the Solana tech stack with `create-solana-dapp optionally. (@ZYJLiu's amazing hackathon project did this and we need it!)
3. Allow deploying the starter and templates into a vibe coding platform like @Replit. This is a big one, mayne people now experiment on idea and we should be able to iterate quickly on an idea wihtout having to pop open a CLI all the time.
