I have decided to learn in public and the first challenge is to build an AMM (maybe multiple) in anchor.

I'm going in baby steps and I'm not in a rush. If you want you can come and tag along (learn with me!), and give me feedback if you think I'm doing something wrong. I'm going to make lots of mistakes, so bare with me, but it's okay!
Here's today's and yesterday's learnings:
So what I'm building now is a constant product AMM.
That means the two token's product is always going be some constant: token1 * token2 = constant. This is the most basic AMM ever so that's why I'm starting with this one.
The hardest part about getting started with this was figuring out the math part and understanding it. Thankfully, there's quite a lot of material online about this type of AMM so I now have a grasp of the basics, but what I still struggle with is the normalization of two different tokens mints with different decimals.
I kinda figured it out, seems like all I gotta do is pick the mint with the higher decimal place and then pad the one with the lower one until it's on the same decimals as the higher one. Hopefully that makes sense lol.
Yesterday & today I set up the first instruction, to initialize the pool itself. Nothing big yet, but I did have to think about design already and read a bunch of papers (uniswap has some good stuff low key).
I kinda just blurted this tweet wihtout giving it too much thought, I think the format might not be ideal and maybe a more structured one would be better. We'll experiment, and we'll see what it is.
